Changing Ruffle Shower Curtain in a Window Curtain

You can easily convert a ruffle shower curtain in a window curtain, if you have basic sew skills. A shower curtain is often made of durable material with drawings not always available in prefabricated curtains. Use these design patterns to create your own distinctive designs window curtain.

Instructions to change ruffle shower curtain in a window curtain: measure the height of the window curtain rod. Add 4-inch to the height so that you can create the seam to the curtain rod. Measure the width of the curtain rod. Place the shower curtain on a table and stretch. Measure over the side edge of the curtain and draw a line to mark the width.

Measure from the bottom, and then draw a line through the fabric at the right height. Cut the tissue section. Work to keep the lines as straight as possible. Repeat the process on the other side edge of the shower curtain, if you plan to have two curtains.

Fold the top edge of the fabric down about 2-inch, then secure the fabric with straight pins. Stitch the bottom of the fold. Ask the curtain on an ironing board and press the seam dish.

Finally, to change ruffle shower curtain in a window curtain, slide the curtain rod through the crease, then install the rod in the window. Shuttles will be at the bottom of the curtain.
