Malm storage bed – Many homeowners overlook the potential storage space under a bed. Even a double bed 1 foot off the ground offers more than 30 cubic feet of storage potential. Disorganized storage under the bed often becomes chaotic, messy and difficult to access. However, by building some storage drawers under the bed, you can make good use of that space. These instructions apply to a double bed which is at least one foot off the ground, but you can use the basic plan for any bed. Only alter the dimensions of the wood to meet their needs.
Malm storage bed, set up four sheets of plywood 9 inches wide in a box. The ends of the long sheets of 35 inches must about the inner faces of the sheets 24 inches. The four leaves should rest on the narrow, thick edge 1/2-inch. Stick together and let dry.
Malm storage bed, key rectangular frame with three seam finishing nails. Drive nails through the face sheet 24 inches and in the center of the edge of the sheet of 35 inches. All nails should be spaced evenly and about 1/4 inch from the outer edge of the timber. Set the remaining plywood sheet on top of the rectangular frame, the outer edges flush with the edges of the frame. Glue in place and let dry.
